Chris Levine, born in 1960, is a British artist known for his innovative light-based artworks and holography. Working across many mediums, Levine pushes boundaries of light and perception, creating a sense of connection and sensory immersion. His most iconic piece, "Lightness of Being," a lenticular portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with her eyes closed, offers a rare, contemplative depiction of the monarch. Levine's work continues to explore the phenomena of light, promoting mindfulness and presence whilst featuring well known figures such as Kate Moss, Grace Jones and The Dalai Lama. In 2019 Chris Levine donated a work at an auction hosted by Elton John for the Elton John Aids Foundation which $360,000.
