David Shrigley, born in 1968, is a British artist celebrated for his distinctively witty and sarcastically humorous artworks that often include crude cartoon-like drawings and hand-written text. Working across a range of media, including sculpture, drawing, photography, and animation, Shrigley makes incisive commentary on the absurdities of everyday life. One of his most recognized public installations is the giant hand with an extended thumb, "Really Good," displayed on London's Trafalgar Square Fourth Plinth. A Turner Prize nominee, Shrigley continues to bring his offbeat humour and commentary to the global art scene
