Haring

Keith Haring, born in 1958, was an exceptional figure in the Pop Art and Graffiti movements who utilised his art as social activism. Earning recognition through his spontaneously-drawn chalk figures in New York's subway, Haring's work featured radiantly colourful, universally comprehensible symbols. His "Untitled" piece from 1982, a visually arresting composition of dancing figures and barking dogs, remains his most celebrated work. This piece also holds his auction record, selling for a remarkable $6.5 million in 2017. Haring's prolific yet brief career ended with his premature death in 1990
