Mark Quinn

Marc Quinn, born in 1964, is a contemporary British artist known for his provocative works addressing themes such as the human body, genetics, and our relationship with the environment. Notorious for using unconventional materials, his work often blurs the line between art and science. Quinn's most recognized piece, "Self," is a series of refrigerated sculptures of his own head, made from his frozen blood. His auction record was set by "Myth (Sphinx)," a sculpture of Kate Moss in a yoga pose. Quinn continues to explore human physicality and identity in his audacious artwork.
