Warhol

Andy Warhol, born in 1928, was an avant-garde visionary whose contributions solidified the Pop Art movement. His most recognized work, the "Campbell's Soup Cans" series, subverted traditional art conceptions, merging the worlds of commercial and fine art. Warhol's fascination with celebrity culture led to iconic portraits, including the striking "Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster)" which, in 2013, sold for a staggering $105 million at auction. He passed away in 1987, leaving a rich legacy that continues to inspire contemporary art.
