Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama, born in 1929, is an iconic figure in the art world known for her immersive installations and obsessive, repetitive patterns. Her extensive body of work spans paintings, sculptures, and performance pieces. Among her most recognized works are the "Infinity Mirror Rooms," enchanting environments that offer viewers an endless kaleidoscope of reflections. Despite dealing with mental health issues, Kusama continues to create art in Tokyo, where she voluntarily lives in a psychiatric hospital.
